Oscar Health is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join the Product Design team, specifically within the Network Pillar. The Network Pillar is building a suite of internal tools and products that enable Oscar to evaluate, manage, and configure its provider network—critical infrastructure for a health insurance company built on a full-stack technology platform.
In this role, you will partner closely with product managers, engineers, and operational stakeholders to design tools that power network adequacy assessment, performance monitoring, and provider relationship management. You'll be central to improving how Oscar's internal teams make decisions about network coverage, quality, and accessibility across the country. The work spans complex operational workflows and requires balancing speed with thoughtful, user-centered design.
Key responsibilities include owning the end-to-end design process from discovery through delivery with minimal oversight; developing deep expertise in users and the healthcare/network management domain; collaborating across product, engineering, research, and brand teams; playing a large role in defining team goals and strategy; managing stakeholder relationships and driving clarity in decision-making; leading workshops and vision activities; and setting a high bar for visual and interaction design craft across the team and design systems.
You will report to the Senior Director, Product Design. The ideal candidate brings strong systems thinking, experience designing SaaS or internal tools, and the ability to work autonomously across complex technical domains. You should have 6+ years of product/UX design experience, concrete examples of shipping complex interfaces, and 3+ years of direct stakeholder management.
Bonus qualifications include healthcare industry experience, storytelling techniques (animated prototypes, user flows), interest in design ethics and accessibility, experience with high-performing web/mobile/internal tool products, and a track record of user research and prototyping.
Work location is hybrid in the New York City office, requiring 3 days in-office per week with Thursdays as a mandatory in-office day for team meetings and events.
