Oscar Health is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join the Product Design team, reporting to the Senior Director of Product Design. This role focuses on the Network Pillar—a suite of products that help Oscar evaluate, manage, and configure its provider network.
You will partner closely with product managers, engineers, and operational stakeholders to design and ship tools that power Oscar's internal workflows for network adequacy assessment, performance monitoring, and provider relationship management. The Network Pillar is bringing critical capabilities in-house to ensure Oscar's provider network remains comprehensive, high-quality, and accessible to members nationwide.
Key responsibilities include owning the end-to-end design process from discovery through delivery with minimal oversight; developing expert understanding of users and business domain to inform product strategy; collaborating with designers, PMs, marketers, brand teams, engineers, and researchers; playing a large role in defining team goals and strategy; managing stakeholder relationships and driving clarity in decision-making; leading workshops and vision activities; setting quality standards for visual and interaction design; and weaving the Oscar brand across product experiences.
The ideal candidate brings strong systems thinking, experience designing SaaS or internal tools, and the ability to work autonomously while balancing speed, clarity, and user empathy across complex technical domains.
Work location is Marina del Rey with a hybrid schedule requiring 3 days in-office per week. Thursdays are mandatory for team meetings and events; the other two office days are flexible.
Requirements: 6+ years of product/UX design experience; concrete examples of designing and shipping complex interfaces; 3+ years managing stakeholders directly.
Bonus qualifications include healthcare industry experience, storytelling techniques (animated prototypes, user flows), interest in design ethics and accessibility, strong collaboration and coaching skills, experience with high-performing web/mobile/internal tool products, user research and prototyping expertise, and ability to translate requirements into simple, useful UI.
