Okta is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join its globally distributed design team in Bengaluru. You will work on identity and access management products that secure millions of customers worldwide, with a specific focus on protecting the future of work and enabling safe AI adoption.
In this role, you will drive product design strategy across multiple product areas, balancing functional, practical UX design with speculative, generative explorations. You'll design end-to-end flows for complex use cases spanning Okta's portfolio, serving diverse personas including IT admins, security administrators, and end-users. Your work will ensure cohesive, responsive experiences across desktop, mobile web, and dedicated applications while maintaining accessibility standards.
Key responsibilities include: framing problems and exploring solutions in collaboration with user research, product management, engineering, and data science teams; designing scalable, usable design patterns that drive lasting impact; presenting work and concepts to cross-functional teams and senior leadership; and championing thoughtful, secure use of AI throughout the design process, including generative prototyping and advanced prompt engineering.
You will operate with high autonomy and ownership within a centralized design team supported by leadership that values collaboration. The role requires systems-thinking to connect user insights with business goals, the ability to lead through influence, and comfort working in ambiguous environments. You should demonstrate expertise in responsive, accessible, and inclusive design; strong curiosity about incorporating AI into your design workflow; and the ability to evaluate AI-generated outputs for technical accuracy and design system adherence before production deployment.
