Duolingo is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join its Design team in Pittsburgh. You'll partner with cross-functional teammates to create delightful, intuitive learning experiences across mobile apps, websites, and communications for over 500 million learners worldwide.
In this role, you will design and prototype engaging learning experiences for the Duolingo app, driving large work streams with independence and serving as a peer leader and mentor across the Design team. You'll collaborate with other designers and artists to expand Duolingo's distinctive design language, working closely with engineers and product managers to define what gets built and how. Your focus will span the full spectrum of craft—animation, copy, UI, and business impact—ensuring every detail contributes to a finely crafted experience.
You bring a strong online portfolio showcasing consumer mobile app design, with the highest standards for visual design and interaction details. You're fluent in creating high-fidelity prototypes quickly and have proven experience shipping products at scale in product organizations. You communicate your work and decisions clearly and concisely, embrace feedback generously, and demonstrate bravery in solving complex problems amid ambiguity.
Exceptional candidates will have experience with AI and LLMs for ideation, deep brand understanding and its business role, skills in motion and animation for UI, a track record of career growth, and a reputation as a top performer sought after by other leaders.
