As Senior Product Designer, you'll be accountable for crafting experiences, interactions, and solutions that improve the product and drive user adoption. This role emphasizes visual design, prototyping, usability testing, and design system evolution.
Key responsibilities include: championing customer feedback in every decision by talking to customers regularly, conducting research, and running evaluative testing; designing simple, intuitive, and delightful product experiences that balance customer needs with business goals and technical constraints; driving design through close collaboration with product, engineering, GTM, and leadership; prototyping and pairing closely with engineers to ensure high-quality implementation; contributing to and evolving the design system; and helping shape the growing design team culture.
You'll bring strong product design experience with modern B2B cloud software, ideally from startups or fast-moving teams. You're comfortable moving from product discovery through detailed design, quickly visualizing and prototyping concepts, and carrying them through to polished solutions. You're excited to experiment with AI tools and fast prototyping approaches. You have exceptional attention to detail, clear communication skills, and a highly collaborative working style. You're pragmatic, comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities, and energized by early-stage startup pace and uncertainty.
The role is in-office 4 days per week from the Surry Hills HQ in Sydney. Dovetail offers competitive base salary plus equity options, flexible L&D ($3000 allowance) and wellness benefits ($1000), four weeks accrued leave plus floating holidays, up to four weeks remote work annually, generous parental leave (20 weeks primary / 12 weeks secondary), and additional leave after four years tenure.
