Co–Star is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape the future of an astrology platform that makes celestial insights accessible and shareable. The role spans product architecture, interaction design, prototyping, and visual design—moving fluidly between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
You'll own major product surfaces end-to-end, from concept through shipping. This includes inventing new interaction paradigms for novel experiences, making them intuitive and delightful. You'll leverage research, experimentation, analytics, and user feedback to identify what people need and where products can improve. Prototyping is central to your workflow—using Figma, code-based tools like Claude Code and Cursor, and v0 to rapidly test ideas.
You'll partner closely with engineering and research teams to refine interactions, iterate quickly, and deliver high-quality work. The company values exploration and iteration; you're expected to test boldly, discard ideas that don't work, and rework concepts until they feel inevitable and correct.
Ideal candidates have spent the last decade designing software people genuinely love using. You're comfortable spanning interaction design, visual design, and product strategy. You enjoy deep collaboration with engineers and believe great work emerges from many rounds of iteration. You prefer prototyping to presentations, and you prioritize the work over ego.
The role is full-time, hybrid between San Francisco and New York offices. Compensation is $200,000–$285,000 plus benefits. A portfolio is required; the company values what you've made over where you've worked.
