Cobre is Latin America's leading B2B instant payments platform, building advanced financial infrastructure that enables enterprises to move money faster, securely, and efficiently. The company serves fintechs, payment service providers, banks, and finance teams with solutions spanning real-time payments, automated treasury, cross-border transfers, and stablecoin balances—all from a single platform.
You'll join Cobre's Product Design team, working closely with Product, Frontend, Backend, and Customer Success to design core portal experiences and business-critical features including Payments, Movements, Counterparties, Cross-Border, and Balances/Stablecoins. The team is small, high-impact, and operates with evidence-driven decision-making grounded in product data, user research, and API documentation rather than assumptions.
Key responsibilities include leading end-to-end design (wireframes through Figma prototypes) for Portal Core, Payments, Balances, and Cross-Border initiatives; co-leading Design Ops to maintain naming consistency, Design System documentation, and component governance as the product scales; conducting UX audits for navigation, internationalization, and language consistency; executing user interviews and qualitative research; collaborating with Product and Analytics on event taxonomy and tracking; maintaining Figma file organization and initiative progress; refining user stories with clear acceptance criteria; actively participating in sprint rituals and design critiques; validating solutions with Frontend, Backend, and Customer Success teams; mentoring peers on design reviews and contributing strategic product vision; and exploring AI-assisted design workflows to accelerate iteration cycles.
You bring 7+ years as a Product Designer or UX-UI Designer, with a consolidated track record leading end-to-end flows in complex digital products (fintech or banking experience is a strong plus). You're fluent in Figma for functional prototyping and scalable Design System maintenance, skilled at translating business and user needs into user-centered UX solutions, experienced in user interviews and qualitative research with active awareness of design trends, capable of defending design decisions to senior stakeholders, and have mentored peers on design feedback. Native Spanish and intermediate-to-advanced English are required. Nice-to-haves include Design Ops or Design System governance experience, familiarity with product analytics tools like Mixpanel, and interest in AI-assisted design tools.
