Cinder is mission-critical infrastructure for digital platforms to combat fraud, abuse, and manipulation at scale. The company provides a command center for policy enforcement, real-time AI agents against abuse, threat investigation, and safety program validation. You'll join as a second senior designer, operating as co-lead and thought partner with the existing design lead. You'll own significant product surfaces end-to-end, from problem framing through shipped UI. This is an opportunity to help define how design works at Cinder from an early stage.
Key responsibilities include: owning end-to-end design for assigned surfaces working directly with product and engineering; running discovery with Trust & Safety customers to inform design direction; prototyping at high fidelity to validate flows before engineering build; contributing to and maintaining the design system as the product scales; taking on broader design work including brand, GTM, decks, website, and marketing; and participating in design critique to maintain craft standards.
You should have 6+ years designing software at senior to staff level, with deep expertise in technical products for expert users. Expert-level Figma skills (wireframing, flows, prototyping, production delivery) are essential. You're fluent with AI coding agents (Cursor, Claude) for design and prototyping work. You have high tolerance for ambiguity, create clarity independently, and are proactive about flagging and fixing design debt. You're comfortable talking directly with customers and translating insights into product opportunities. You think systemically about how design changes ripple across products. You have experience building or maintaining design systems, front-end prototyping fluency, and SaaS design experience—especially multi-product platforms and information-dense interfaces. Empathy for trust and safety challenges is important.
Nice-to-have skills include experience designing AI or agentic products, motion design, website CMS builder comfort, appetite to build design team culture from scratch, and a design background different from the existing team.
