As a Senior Product Designer on the Consumer team, you will shape experiences used by tens of millions of people seeking better sleep, stress relief, and mindfulness. This is a hands-on builder role where you'll move rapidly from user insight to interactive prototype to shipped product using modern tools like Figma, AI, and low-code platforms (Replit, Lovable, Claude). The focus is balancing velocity with craft—leveraging AI to reduce production overhead so you can spend more time on judgment, detail, and the nuances that make experiences exceptional.
Key responsibilities include owning end-to-end product design initiatives across visual, interaction, motion, and brand integration for mobile (iOS/Android) and web. You'll prototype quickly to test ideas early, present work persuasively to cross-functional teams and leadership, maintain quality through engineering implementation and post-launch iteration, and use data and research to inform design decisions. You'll also champion system-level thinking, improving team workflows and evolving Calm's design system so the entire team works faster and smarter.
You'll partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Data Science, and Marketing, setting the standard for craft across all platforms and establishing best practices for exceptional product design at Calm.
Required: 7+ years UX/UI design experience, with 5+ years in consumer mobile and web. You must be highly proficient in Figma and already using AI and low-code tools to prototype and ship. Technical agility is essential—comfort shipping small code changes without engineering support. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment are critical.
