Botpress is hiring a Senior Product Designer to own the visual and interaction design of major product areas in their enterprise-grade AI agent platform for customer support. This role emphasizes visual craft, polish, hierarchy, motion, and interaction detail—defining design patterns for AI-native products that don't yet have established conventions.
You'll report to the Head of UX and focus on making complex interfaces beautiful and precise. Key responsibilities include owning visual and interaction design end-to-end from concept to shipped detail; setting and raising the bar for visual quality across typography, layout, color, motion, and micro-interactions; contributing to the design system and maintaining consistency; generating original concepts for AI-native interactions; designing flows that simplify complex functionality; creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes; collaborating with engineers for pixel-perfect implementation; iterating based on internal feedback and usage data; participating in user testing; and documenting work for handoff.
Requirements: 4–6 years of product or visual design experience; exceptional visual craft (core of the role); strong portfolio demonstrating visual and interaction design in shipped software; comfort with complex systems and technical products; ability to work with ambiguity and own problems beyond the interface; fluency in Figma with quick iteration; detail-oriented and organized mindset; collaborative feedback skills. Bonuses include experience with developer tools, AI products, SaaS platforms, design system scaling, motion design, advanced prototyping (Rive, Origami, code-based), or usability testing.
Botpress raised a $25M Series B in 2025 and operates fully in-office with a lean, AI-first culture. The team values technical rigor and shared ambition, with everyone acting as an owner. You'll work on a platform displacing legacy systems like Zendesk at scale, impacting millions of customer interactions.
