Bitwarden is seeking a Senior Product Designer to elevate the user experience for its identity security platform trusted by millions worldwide. The role focuses on designing intuitive, delightful security products across desktop, mobile (iOS & Android), web, and browser extension platforms.
Key responsibilities include analyzing product feedback and market trends to generate and iterate on design concepts; creating user flows, prototypes, and production-ready designs for developer handoff; designing seamless, user-centric solutions across the Bitwarden platform; conducting and moderating user research sessions, surveys, and feedback engagements; facilitating design critique sessions with product managers and stakeholders; and partnering across teams to identify continuous UX improvement opportunities.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of product design experience with strong proficiency in Figma and other design tools. Required skills include expertise in creating sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes; planning and executing comprehensive user research and testing cycles; technical design knowledge of front-end engineering practices and systems thinking; and the ability to influence leadership through data-driven design decisions. Experience with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, V0) and prompt writing is expected. A well-curated portfolio demonstrating UI and critical thinking skills is mandatory.
Nice-to-have qualifications include startup experience, security-focused application design, B2C and B2B product design, iOS/Android design, WCAG accessibility guidelines, front-end development, and cross-platform design experience. The role is fully remote within the US; visa sponsorship is not available. Bitwarden is headquartered in Santa Barbara, California, and operates as an all-remote team.
