Bitwarden is seeking a Senior Product Designer to elevate the user experience for its identity security platform, trusted by millions worldwide. The role involves collaborating with product managers and designers to conduct user research, craft solutions, and shape the overall product experience across desktop, mobile (iOS & Android), web, and browser extension platforms.
Key responsibilities include analyzing product feedback and market trends to generate and iterate on designs; creating user flows, prototypes, and production-ready designs for developer execution; designing seamless, user-centric solutions across the Bitwarden platform; conducting and moderating customer feedback sessions and user research; facilitating critique sessions with product managers and stakeholders; and partnering across teams to identify continuous UX improvement opportunities.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of product design experience with demonstrated expertise in Figma, Adobe XD, and other design tools. You should excel at communicating designs through sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes. Strong technical design knowledge is essential—familiarity with front-end engineering practices, design systems, and systems thinking. Experience planning and executing comprehensive user research and testing cycles is required. Additional valuable skills include prompt writing for AI tools, ability to influence leadership with data-driven design decisions, and enthusiasm for open-source and internet security.
Nice-to-have qualifications include startup experience, prior work on security-focused applications, B2C and B2B product design, iOS/Android design, WCAG accessibility guidelines, front-end development background, and cross-platform design experience.
