AirHelp is a travel companion mobile app with nearly one million downloads in under eight months. The app helps users track flights in real time, stay informed about disruptions, and act instantly when issues occur—from live flight tracking and smart notifications to seamless claim submission and status tracking.
The company is evolving the app into a proactive, intelligent travel assistant that anticipates disruptions, guides users in real time, and becomes a product people rely on for every trip.
You will own the design of AirHelp's premium subscription services end-to-end, from problem definition through shipped outcomes and continuous iteration. This is a strategic design role that bridges product thinking and design leadership.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the UX of the full subscription product, including bundles, positioning, monetization, and engagement
- Frame problems clearly, form hypotheses, and move fast into testing and learning
- Prototype early using AI tools (Figma, Claude), building real flows rather than static mocks
- Validate through real user research, quick tests, and data-driven iteration
- Translate validated ideas into production-ready design with strong attention to clarity and system alignment
- Balance speed and craft—explore quickly, then refine to deliver polished, scalable solutions
- Own both day-to-day improvements and larger strategic initiatives
- Contribute to product strategy by identifying opportunities and leading initiatives from concept to execution
- Raise the bar for design through systems thinking, knowledge sharing, and mentoring
In your first 12 months, you will design and implement new subscription tiers, drive engagement through loyalty program evolution, increase growth by optimizing upsell moments, and improve re-engagement by building habits that bring users back for their next trip.
You bring deep experience designing B2C subscription products with a track record of shipping pricing, packaging, and upsell flows that move retention and LTV. You've built and shipped mobile products and understand what great mobile UX looks like from first interaction to long-term engagement. You operate at the intersection of product thinking and design leadership, think like a product leader focused on the right problems, and work fast and pragmatically in ambiguous environments. You're an exceptional communicator who aligns teams and influences stakeholders, collaborate closely with engineers, and maintain a high bar for quality with strong judgment about when to refine versus ship.
