Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join the ProductionOS team within ArsenalOS. You will design end-to-end user experiences for Forge, Anduril's flagship software platform that manages the receipt, manufacturing, deployment, and maintenance of hardware globally.
Key responsibilities include:
- Shape product and design strategy through roadmap contributions and decision-making
- Own complete design execution from discovery, ideation, prototyping, testing, and implementation
- Design critical manufacturing and onsite workflows with significant influence on end-to-end experiences
- Create scalable components for mobile, tablet, and desktop optimized for manufacturing floor environments
- Develop and mature the design system with reusable components across all platforms
- Evangelize design decisions and establish design tenets that drive strategic work
- Conduct on-site research using Gemba philosophy, visiting shop floors to understand user needs firsthand
- Collaborate with the central Product Design team on shared best practices
- Balance short-term tactical initiatives with long-term design system goals
Required qualifications:
- 6+ years of software design experience
- Mastery of visual and interaction design with strong attention to detail
- Portfolio demonstrating multimodal experiences
- Ability to articulate the why, process, and impact of your work
- Proficiency in design systems and scalable component creation
- Experience with on-site research and understanding of manufacturing environments
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
- No prior defense experience necessary
Preferred qualifications include familiarity with hardware-related industries (supply chain, manufacturing, logistics), advanced visual design principles, proficiency with Figma/Sketch/Adobe Creative Suite, and understanding of accessibility standards.
