Babylist is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead the user experience for the next generation of their platform. As the primary owner of UX, delight, and interaction quality, you will shape how parents discover products, receive gifts, and navigate early parenthood across web and native mobile.
You will be an equal parts skilled designer, hands-on researcher, and AI-enabled builder. Your responsibilities include owning the experience layer across the full Babylist product, running user research, standing up working prototypes rapidly (hours not days), and contributing production-quality front-end code. You'll work alongside product managers, engineers, and data partners to ensure every interaction meets both functional and emotional needs of users.
Key aspects of the role: You care deeply about craft—transitions, motion, accessibility, and delight. You think systemically about how individual interactions fit into broader flows and design systems. You're data-driven, leveraging both qualitative and quantitative research to guide decisions. You're product-savvy, knowing what's worth building and what will resonate with users while supporting business goals.
You're AI-native, using AI tools to prototype and iterate at speed, moving from rough concept to interactive prototype in hours. You write production frontend code and can ship work yourself without depending on engineers for translation. You own outcomes, not just shipping—you instrument your work, track metrics, and make iterate/pivot/stop decisions based on evidence.
You're adaptable, humble, low-ego, and biased toward action. You seek feedback continuously, stress-test assumptions, and question ideas before committing. You're excited about the AI transformation in design and want to help shape what an AI-first design organization looks like.
