Babylist is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead the user experience for the next generation of their platform. You will be the primary owner of experience, delight, and interaction quality, working across web and native mobile products that help parents discover products, receive gifts, and navigate early parenthood.
In this role, you'll shape how families make critical decisions during one of life's most meaningful transitions. You'll work alongside product managers, engineers, and data partners to ensure every interaction is intuitive, beautiful, and emotionally resonant. The position uniquely blends traditional design craft with modern AI-native product development—you'll run research, build working prototypes in hours rather than days, and contribute production-quality front-end code.
You are a systems thinker who sees how individual interactions fit into broader flows and design systems. You're obsessed with craft and delight, noticing details in transitions, motion, and accessibility that most people can't articulate but everyone responds to. You leverage both generative and evaluative research to unlock actionable insights, bringing concrete qualitative and quantitative evidence into design decisions.
You're product-savvy and outcome-focused—you don't celebrate shipping, you own impact. You instrument your work, track metrics, and make clean iterate/pivot/stop decisions based on evidence. You use AI tools to prototype and explore at speed, moving from rough concepts to interactive prototypes in hours. You write production frontend code and can ship designs yourself without depending on engineers for translation.
You're adaptable, humble, and biased toward action. You seek feedback early and often, putting prototypes in front of users before they're polished. You're excited about the AI transformation in design and want to help shape what an AI-first design organization looks like at Babylist and across the category.
