KAYAK, part of Booking Holdings, is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join the Metasearch design team, focusing primarily on Ads while supporting related products like SEO, Affiliates, and B2B dashboards. This role requires at least 3 days per week in the Cambridge, MA office. You will lead end-to-end design for web and mobile across the Ads team and platforms, from early concepts and rapid prototypes through delivery in an agile environment. Working closely with Product Managers and Engineers, you'll translate user needs and business goals into design decisions that improve outcomes for both travelers and advertising partners. You'll communicate design rationale and success criteria clearly to cross-functional teams, building shared understanding and alignment. You'll plan and conduct qualitative user research, using analytics and experiment results alongside research findings to iterate on your product area. You'll raise the quality bar for the team through high-quality, well-reasoned design work and offer constructive feedback that helps other designers grow. Required qualifications include 4+ years of experience designing digital products from exploration through delivery and iteration, with a portfolio demonstrating both consumer-facing and platform/admin product work. You need strong UX and interaction design skills (typography, visual hierarchy, interaction patterns) applied to complex challenges, proficiency with modern design tools like Figma and design systems, and familiarity with the full product development process in a fast-moving, experimental environment. You should be comfortable working with data—using analytics, experiment results, and qualitative research to inform decisions and evaluate impact. Clear communication skills are essential, along with the ability to break down complex problems for diverse audiences. You'll drive your own work independently while staying connected to the team and seeking input when needed. A working understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices is required. Nice-to-have skills include experience designing advertising, partner-facing, platform, or B2B products; contributing to design systems; familiarity with AI-assisted design tools; and formal education in Design or HCI. Compensation: $110,000–$125,000 base salary (Massachusetts-based role), plus annual bonus and RSU grants. Benefits include flexible remote work (up to 20 days/year), company-paid therapy and meditation subscriptions, company-wide week off, no-meeting Fridays, paid parental leave, generous PTO, development dollars, leadership development, travel discounts, and quarterly team events.
