Scale AI is seeking a Senior Product Design Manager to lead and grow the enterprise design team. You'll set the strategic direction for enterprise product design, defining what exceptional design looks like for Scale's applications customers making high-stakes decisions and for expert contributors powering the platform. You'll own hiring, development, and day-to-day leadership for a growing team of designers, creating the culture and operating rhythms that enable them to do their best work.
Key responsibilities include driving design execution across the enterprise product by partnering with Product and Engineering counterparts to ensure design is involved from problem scoping through delivery. You'll raise the craft bar by upholding design principles and quality standards, pushing designers beyond digitizing workflows toward genuinely rethinking how people work with AI. You'll help shape and adopt Scale's shared design system, championing consistent component use and contributing patterns back so distributed teams can build coherently at speed.
You'll ground the team in user needs by building research habits and cadences that keep decisions rooted in what enterprise customers actually need, and advocate for that discipline with partners. A core focus is shaping Scale's approach to human-agent interaction—since Scale's value is human-in-the-loop AI, you'll help define interaction patterns for how enterprise users work alongside AI agents and contribute to Scale's point of view on this emerging space.
You bring 3+ years managing product design teams with a proven track record of simplifying data-dense, power-user workflows into elegant B2B solutions. You're deeply customer-centric, grounding design decisions in real user needs and business impact. You're fluent in how AI is changing design practice and tooling, building AI-native workflows for your team. You have experience designing for agentic platforms and are excited to shape the future of human-AI interaction patterns. You balance speed and quality, prioritizing ruthlessly while maintaining craft standards, and communicate excellently with both leaders and front-line PMs.
