Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer to join the Space Special Programs team, which designs and deploys advanced spacecraft and space systems for military applications. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, sales, logistics, operations, and mission success—developing, testing, and operating cutting-edge space capabilities in challenging operational environments.
You will help architect spacecraft and space systems, develop conceptual designs for missions and payloads, and work within multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the full lifecycle of spacecraft design and integration. Key responsibilities include managing tactical engineering efforts across different disciplines, drafting and developing test plans for critical subsystems, and supporting vehicle-level acceptance testing. You will develop interface controls for partners and customers, ensuring seamless hardware, systems, and electrical integration of complex payloads with existing and new Anduril spacecraft. Additionally, you will support build and benchtop testing of new vehicle systems.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will guide engineering strategy and execution while maintaining deep technical expertise. You'll work on mission-critical systems where space superiority and operational effectiveness depend on innovative design and rigorous validation. The role requires strong systems-thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to translate complex technical challenges into actionable engineering solutions.
