Perk (formerly TravelPerk) is an intelligent platform for travel and spend management serving 12,000+ companies globally. The company automates travel bookings, expenses, invoice processing, and related workflows to eliminate shadow work and boost productivity.
You will own Perk's US and UK media strategy as a Senior PR Manager, reporting to the Director of Communications. This is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on establishing Perk as a leading voice in major business and financial press across both markets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead day-to-day PR activity: proactive pitching, newsjacking, reactive press office, and crisis communications for US and UK markets. Serve as primary journalist contact and internal media landscape expert.
- Build Tier 1 relationships: cultivate genuine connections with journalists at WSJ, Bloomberg, FT, CNBC, Forbes and similar outlets through background briefings and exclusive coverage opportunities.
- Shape corporate narrative: partner with senior leadership to develop and maintain consistent, compelling messaging around company growth, financial performance, AI innovation, and platform positioning.
- Drive executive profiling: work closely with C-suite to build media profiles, craft commentary, prepare spokespeople for interviews, and develop proactive strategies placing executives in front of key journalists.
- Translate tech/AI narratives: collaborate with product and engineering to turn AI and technology innovations into media-ready stories for mainstream business press.
- Manage agency relationships: brief, manage, and hold US and UK PR agencies accountable to clear KPIs while building in-house capability.
- Integrate AI tools: bring AI into PR workflows (media monitoring, drafting, research, reporting) to increase speed and rigor.
You bring extensive PR or corporate communications experience with deep, existing relationships in Tier 1 US and UK financial and business press. You have a proven track record securing earned coverage (digital and broadcast) and a strong background in financial communications (funding rounds, M&A, business performance narratives). You excel at building compelling corporate narratives, working directly with C-suite teams, and managing agency partnerships. B2B technology, fintech, or SaaS experience is essential.
You are a sharp writer (press releases, bylines, executive commentary, media briefings), confident media trainer and spokesperson coach, comfortable with data-driven storytelling, and commercially minded about PR's impact on pipeline and competitive positioning. You work independently while collaborating across time zones and supporting broader corporate priorities.
