Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations Cloud, a platform enabling organizations in physical operations (agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, manufacturing) to harness IoT data for actionable insights and operational improvement. As a Senior People Technology Analyst on the People Technology & Operations team, you will be instrumental in expanding and deploying Workday functionality across the organization.
You will partner with HR and business stakeholders globally to implement streamlined operations processes and optimal technology solutions. Acting as an internal consultant, you'll leverage your HR and Workday expertise to develop lasting solutions addressing complex business challenges in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include: leading Absence Management Workday configuration (eligibility rules, accrual policies, leave case management); cross-functional collaboration with HR, Payroll, and internal teams to incorporate requirements into Workday; reviewing proposed system changes to identify process improvement opportunities; building and modifying custom reports; triaging and configuring Workday enhancements across HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Timecards, Absence/Leaves, and Payroll modules (with primary focus on Absence); building and maintaining organizational hierarchies, custom objects, and security roles; partnering with People Operations to document business requirements; scoping and prioritizing incoming fixes and enhancements; and championing Samsara's cultural principles as the company scales globally.
Minimum qualifications: 5+ years professional experience in fast-growing global companies with 2+ years in Workday Absence configuration; expertise in Workday business process, security, and organization configuration; experience with HCM, Benefits, and Core HCM modules in US and international locations; ability to write and complete test scenarios for implementations; experience supporting project planning, requirements gathering, testing, and launch; strong understanding of leave and absence management processes including accrual calculations and compliance; and ability to partner with developers on Workday Studio and integrations.
