Fabric Health is seeking a Senior People Operations & Learning Specialist to champion the day-to-day experience for the Canadian team while providing operational support for global learning programs. This is a hybrid People Operations and Learning Administration role based in Canada with remote flexibility, requiring early-morning availability (7:00–8:00 a.m. Pacific Time) to collaborate with European colleagues in Portugal and Prague.
In your first year, you will support international teams across Portugal and Prague during a planned transition period. As the department stabilizes, your focus will shift back to shaping Canada People Operations and driving global learning delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Canadian People Operations & Employee Support: Manage the full Canadian employee lifecycle including onboarding, employee changes, leaves, offboarding, and employment documentation. Coordinate Canadian payroll through Rippling, reviewing inputs and deductions, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records. Administer Canadian benefits in partnership with Fabric vendors, including enrollment, employee questions, and renewal support. Serve as the first point of contact for routine employee questions and escalate complex employee relations, legal, or policy matters appropriately.
Global Learning & Program Administration: Administer the learning platform and coordinate operational delivery of programs, including course setup, assignments, testing, completion tracking, and reporting. Partner with subject matter experts to build, update, test, and maintain practical learning content and employee communications, leveraging generative AI to accelerate content drafting and formatting. Coordinate operational delivery of mentorship programs and administer personal learning and development stipends. Track learning participation, completion, feedback, and recurring support needs to recommend practical improvements.
Systems, Compliance & Global Operations: Maintain accurate employee data, records, process documentation, and compliance evidence across shared systems, utilizing AI-assisted tools. Operate compliance training processes, including Sexual Harassment Training, reminders, evidence retention, and support for Security audits. Support documented Portugal and Prague People processes, employee records, vendor coordination, and routine employee support during the initial transition period. Build practical workflows, checklists, templates, metrics, and escalation paths that improve accuracy, service, and business continuity.
You are equally comfortable owning detailed People Operations work and coordinating learning programs across multiple stakeholders. You create order in complex environments through clear documentation, visible priorities, and reliable follow-through. You can operate independently while recognizing when an employee, compliance, or policy issue requires escalation. You enjoy improving systems and processes, not just maintaining existing workflows. You communicate clearly across time zones and build trusted relationships with employees, managers, vendors, and cross-functional partners. You are comfortable moving between planned learning work and responsive operational support without losing accuracy. You are an early adopter of technology and actively use modern AI tools to streamline administrative tasks.
This role is not a people management position—it is a senior individual contributor role with no initial direct reports. It is also not suited for candidates seeking only traditional HR administration or only learning and development programs, as this role is a hybrid function.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in People Operations, HR Operations, or a closely related role
- Direct experience supporting Canadian employees and working with Canadian payroll, benefits, and employment administration
- Experience using an HRIS and maintaining reliable employee records, workflows, and reports
- 2–5 years of experience administering an LMS or coordinating learning programs, including assignments, communications, tracking, and reporting
- Experience administering learning and development, compliance training, mentorship, or other structured learning programs
- Experience managing recurring, deadline-driven processes with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
- Proven project and program management skills, including the ability to organize multiple workstreams and make priorities visible
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to work alongside employees, managers, and external vendors
- Sound judgment, reliable follow-through, and comfort working in a remote, international, and evolving environment
- Proficiency in utilizing AI assistants to draft policies, optimize workflows, and scale your impact
- Ability to maintain a regular start time between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. Pacific Time
Bonus qualifications: Hands-on experience with Rippling, 360Learning, JIRA, or comparable HR, LMS, and service management platforms; experience with instructional design, course maintenance, or learning content operations; exposure to international People Operations, employer of record (EOR) arrangements, or post-acquisition integration; experience supporting distributed teams across Canada, the United States, and Europe; healthcare, health technology, or another regulated industry background.
