You'll join the global People Operations team as a Senior People Operations Generalist, supporting Harvey's entire global workforce across onboarding, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations. Based in Ireland or the UK, you'll be the primary point of contact for EMEA and JAPAC coverage, handling real-time support during those time zones while the US-based team is offline.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the complete employee lifecycle (onboarding, changes, leaves, exits) as part of a globally distributed team
- Owning global compliance programs as a program manager: building new processes, maintaining existing ones (right-to-work, statutory leave, GDPR/data protection), and driving efficiency as the company expands into new countries
- Serving as the primary contact for employees, managers, and external partners (brokers, EOR providers, government agencies) during EMEA/JAPAC hours
- Partnering with global payroll and EOR platforms (Deel, Remote, or similar) to manage country-specific requirements
- Building and maintaining SOPs to ensure processes are documented and scalable
- Representing People Ops on regional matters with good judgment about escalation
- Cross-functional collaboration with People Systems, Legal, IT, Payroll, and Workplace teams
You bring 4–6 years of HR/People Ops experience, ideally from mature multi-country organizations. You have hands-on knowledge of employment law and compliance in at least one region outside the US (EMEA/JAPAC preferred), working knowledge of GDPR and HR data protection, and experience with HRIS/payroll platforms like Workday, Deel, or Remote. You're comfortable working independently across distributed global teams, have strong program and project management instincts, excel at written communication for async collaboration, and can confidently represent the function externally.
