Flexport is seeking a Senior People Operations Associate to join its People Team in Ho Chi Minh City, supporting HR operations across APAC offices. This role is responsible for managing Tier 2-level employee transactions, maintaining data integrity in Workday, and driving HR process improvements across the region.
Key responsibilities include processing complex employee transactions (hiring, terminations, leaves of absence, job changes), managing and auditing employee data in Workday, generating analytical reports to support decision-making, and assisting with payroll preparation including main cycle payroll and termination payments. The role also involves drafting employment contracts, job change addendums, and other HR documentation, coordinating document execution, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws.
You will collaborate with the broader People Team on regional and global HR initiatives, serve as a subject matter expert on people operations matters to internal stakeholders (compensation, immigration, compliance, payroll, recruiting, benefits), support vendor management, and identify opportunities for process automation and improvement.
Required qualifications include at least 5 years of HR/People Operations experience, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment, with proven expertise in processing diverse HR transactions. You must have strong knowledge of Southeast Asian employment laws and HR best practices, hands-on Workday HRIS experience, and advanced Excel/G-Suite proficiency. Fluency in English and Vietnamese is essential, along with strong written communication skills for policy creation and documentation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, able to manage high-volume concurrent tasks, and maintains strict confidentiality with sensitive information.
