Salary: USD 77,775 - 129,625 / annual
ShipBob is seeking a Senior People Generalist to serve as the People Team representative at their North Aurora fulfillment center and hub location. This is a hands-on role providing full-cycle HR support to all employees, managers, and regional directors within the assigned location(s).
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee issues, conducting investigations in partnership with People Team Leadership, HRBPs, and Legal as needed
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation while upholding compliance guidelines through periodic audits
- Train, coach, and counsel managers on people matters
- Partner with third-party staffing agency representatives to ensure proper staffing levels
- Participate in recruiting events and career fairs both onsite and offsite
- Source, schedule, coordinate, and conduct new employee interviews for hourly roles
- Facilitate new hire onboarding training and ensure proper processing of all required paperwork and approvals
- Conduct new hire check-ins with all associates
- Participate in ShipBob Culture Committee and support Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
- Establish, plan, coordinate, and participate in employee retention efforts in partnership with the site General Manager
- Host employee office hours and maintain open-door availability
- Facilitate smooth employee exits, including acting as HR representation during involuntary separation meetings and conducting exit interviews
- Track employee attendance and manage disciplinary documentation
The role reports to the Manager, People Experience and operates on a Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift at either 400 Smoketree Plaza, North Aurora, IL 60542 or 1998 Melissa Ln, Aurora, IL 60506.
