EasyPost, a YC-backed unicorn founded in 2012, is seeking a Senior People Business Partner to serve as a strategic HR leader for a business unit. This role combines hands-on HR operations with strategic partnership, making it ideal for an experienced HR professional ready to scale impact.
You will be the primary HR point of contact for your business unit, partnering with department leaders on employee relations, workforce planning, and policy implementation. Key responsibilities include conducting employee relations investigations, coaching managers on performance issues, and building strong relationships across all organizational levels. You'll co-manage the performance review process, develop and maintain people manager training programs, and stay current on business unit trends and initiatives.
Operationally, you will manage global leave of absence (LOA) processes end-to-end, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. You'll coordinate leave schedules with payroll, advise employees on LOA policies, and track trends. Additionally, you'll partner with Sales Operations to maintain compliant sales agreements and serve as the subject matter expert on the HRIS platform (Paylocity).
You'll also conduct formal audits and partner with internal and external auditors on SOC, SOX, financial, and security audits (annual and quarterly). Using HR data, you'll generate reports, analytics, and insights that drive data-informed decisions. You'll support full-cycle change management, international onboarding/offboarding, and assist with general HR reporting needs.
The ideal candidate has 6+ years of HR Business Partnering experience with a track record of strategic partnership with business leaders. You hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (Master's degree or relevant certifications are a plus). You demonstrate excellent project management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. You navigate complex organizational structures, work collaboratively with diverse teams, and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. You're self-motivated, proactive, and possess strong problem-solving skills with a bias toward action. You demonstrate sound judgment and emotional intelligence, with the confidence to voice concerns constructively.
