Datadog is seeking a Senior People Business Partner to establish the company's first on-the-ground People function in Latin America, based in São Paulo. This is a strategic and high-impact role supporting the rapidly growing Go-to-Market (GTM) team across the region.
You will serve as the primary People contact for LATAM, acting as the sole regional People Business Partner while partnering remotely with global PBP colleagues and Centers of Excellence (COE) teams. Your responsibilities span the full spectrum of people operations: advising leadership on performance management, career development, compensation, organizational scaling, employee relations, training, culture, and inclusion initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide on-the-ground support and representation for the global PBP team, partnering with employees and leadership across the region
- Coach and advise leadership on all people-related matters, from day-to-day employee relations to strategic organizational development
- Bridge global programs with local needs, collaborating across time zones with departmental PBPs and COE teams
- Design and implement people policies, guidelines, and programs in collaboration with global colleagues
- Drive data-informed people decisions through analysis and consulting, leveraging HRIS systems
- Handle complex employee relations issues and implement best practices
- Assess development needs and recommend solutions aligned with organizational strategy
You bring 8+ years of HRBP or related global HR experience, ideally in fast-growing technology companies. You're comfortable operating as a sole People partner for a region, building structure where none exists, and adapting your approach from strategic program implementation to granular day-to-day support. You excel at project management, have strong analytical and HRIS skills (Workday experience is a bonus), and bring GTM business partnership experience. You're experienced in employee relations and global employment practices.
You communicate clearly and directly, build trust across all organizational levels, and have strong interpersonal skills. Business-level Portuguese and English fluency are required; business-level Spanish is strongly preferred. You thrive in ambiguity, are detail-oriented yet flexible, and bring a customer service orientation to your work.
Datadog operates as a hybrid workplace, valuing office culture for collaboration and creativity while supporting work-life harmony.
