Anthropic is seeking a People Specialist to join its People Team, supporting the operational and strategic work that enables managers and leaders to do their jobs effectively. This role sits at the intersection of HR operations, people strategy, and sensitive casework management. Key responsibilities include managing complex performance casework end-to-end—building documentation, tracking timelines, preparing talking points, and ensuring details don't fall through the cracks. You'll own and continuously improve operational processes that managers and People Partners depend on, including outside business activity requests and reorganization processing. The role requires building, maintaining, and improving manager resources and documentation to ensure they remain useful and current. You'll partner with the Leadership Design team on manager enablement programs like performance cycles, handling logistics, content, delivery, and the operational work that makes programs run smoothly. Additional responsibilities include pulling and compiling reports and data for sensitive personnel matters, and maintaining tracking systems for casework and manager enablement initiatives. This is a role that demands both strategic thinking and comfort with detailed operational work. You'll handle sensitive information related to performance management, organizational restructures, and employment matters. Success requires excellent judgment about what to share, with whom, and in what form. You'll be expected to push back when something doesn't align with best practices and raise concerns with senior leaders when needed. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in HR roles (people operations, HR coordination, HRBP, or similar), preferably at a high-growth tech company where processes were being built. Direct experience supporting HRBPs, managers, and employees through challenging and sensitive matters is highly valued. Working knowledge of HR compliance requirements and familiarity with AI safety topics are preferred. Experience as a Claude power user in your current role is a plus.
