Salary: USD 145,000 - 150,000 / annual

As Senior People Business Partner, you will own the day-to-day operations of the People function while serving as a trusted advisor to managers across Engineering, Manufacturing, Consumer Operations, and Core Operations. Reporting to the Head of People, this is a pivotal role in a growing organization where the HR playbook is still being written. Key responsibilities include: - End-to-end ownership of HR operations: benefits administration, payroll coordination, HRIS workflows, garnishments, and onboarding - Serving as the primary resource for employees and managers on People matters, independently resolving the majority of employee relations issues - Building trusted advisory relationships with people managers, positioning yourself as a proactive partner in significant people decisions - Partnering with the Head of People to develop and drive adoption of people programs and initiatives from vision to full implementation - Maintaining rigorous accuracy in HRIS data, particularly around payroll and benefits, and building preventative processes - Collaborating with Recruiting, IT, and Finance at intersection points The role is based at Biofire's headquarters in Broomfield, Colorado (between Boulder and Denver), with flexibility to work from home as needed. The office is described as dog-friendly and state-of-the-art, with regular collaborative in-person sessions. Qualifications: - 5+ years of progressive HR/People experience spanning both HR operations (benefits, payroll coordination, HRIS administration) and employee relations - Demonstrated ability to build People processes and practices in ambiguous, fast-moving, or startup-like environments without an existing playbook - Track record of earning trust and influence with managers and leaders through sound judgment and genuine curiosity, not positional authority or policy enforcement - Meticulous, detail-oriented approach to operational work, with particular rigor around data impacting pay and benefits - Hands-on experience with an HRIS platform (Rippling or equivalent) and comfort learning and owning new systems quickly Note: The posting welcomes applicants with diverse experiences from various industries and encourages those who meet necessary qualifications to apply, even if desired qualifications are not perfectly aligned.
