Salary: USD 150,000 - 200,000 / annual
ShopMy is a unicorn ($1.5B valuation) transforming e-commerce by building infrastructure for human-led curation at scale. The company helps brands run performance-driven creator programs while enabling top creators to monetize their influence and partner directly with brands they love.
You will own the end-to-end design process for ShopMy's products, from discovery and research through polished implementation, QA, and launch. You'll partner deeply with Product and Engineering to help define problems, shape product strategy, and influence what gets built—not just how it looks. This role goes beyond design deliverables: you'll proactively identify opportunities to improve workflows, product quality, and customer experience across creators, brands, and shoppers.
Key responsibilities include prototyping and experimenting to validate ideas quickly, leveraging modern AI tools and emerging workflows to accelerate design and execution, collaborating in critiques and product discussions, contributing to and evolving the design system, and maintaining exceptional craft and attention to detail. You'll stay curious about new tools, technologies, and product patterns, helping evolve how the team designs and builds.
ShopMy is a small but passionate team building the future of curated commerce at the intersection of technology, culture, and taste. You'll see immediate impact in your work alongside accomplished teammates. The company operates with a remote-first culture with an NYC HQ, and some teams may have different location requirements.
**Requirements:**
- 7+ years of product design experience, ideally in a startup or fast-moving product environment
- Portfolio demonstrating exceptional design, visual craft, and product thinking
- Experience designing across web, mobile, and responsive platforms
- Builder mindset—comfortable solving problems beyond the interface and jumping into unfamiliar territory
- Strong product intuition with ability to balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints
- Comfort with rapid iteration and working through ambiguity
- Experience creating prototypes to communicate ideas and validate solutions
- Curiosity about AI-powered design and development workflows (experience with Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, or similar is a plus but not required)
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with Product, Engineering, and Design
- Systems thinker who cares deeply about scalability, quality, and craft
- Genuine excitement about ShopMy's mission
