Legora is an AI-native legal workspace used by 1,000+ customers including major law firms (Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, Linklaters) and enterprises. The company has scaled to $100M+ ARR with teams across Europe, North America, and APAC. This is a founding role to build Legora's ESG function from the ground up. You will own end-to-end responsibility for the company's sustainability programme, reporting, and client-facing ESG credentials as the company scales and faces increasing regulatory (CSRD) and procurement requirements. Key responsibilities include: standing up ESG strategy and operating plan; automating the reporting stack using AI-driven workflows for CSRD and RFP/security questionnaires; owning CSRD readiness and reporting with Finance and Legal; modeling and tracking Legora's compute and datacentre climate footprint (critical for an AI company); building and running the GHG/carbon accounting and offset programme; representing Legora on sustainability calls with client leadership and CXOs; and maintaining audit readiness as regulation evolves. You will report to the VP of Operations and partner with Finance, Legal, Workplace, and Revenue teams. The role is part compliance, part programme-building, and part client-facing. A defining characteristic: every reporting workflow should be AI-automated rather than hand-run, and you'll navigate the climate footprint of large datacentres while staying ahead of efficiency trends. You bring 8+ years in ESG, sustainability, or related compliance/operating roles with hands-on reporting experience. You have deep fluency in AI and datacentre climate impacts, working knowledge of CSRD and GHG accounting, and comfort representing the company to enterprise clients. An MBB or top-tier strategy consulting background is preferred. Ideally, you have built an ESG strategy from scratch at a tech company or worked in regulated/enterprise-sales environments where ESG credentials affect deals.
