Misfits Market is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead daily operations at a food-based fulfillment center in San Antonio. This is a director-level role managing multiple managers and supervisors across Receiving, Inventory, Facility Maintenance, Quality Control, and Prep departments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a safety-first culture and ensuring compliance with OSHA, AIB, GMP, HACCP, FSSC, FDA, and SQF standards
- Serving as the site's primary Safe Quality Food (SQF) Practitioner and core member of the Food Safety and Crisis Management Team
- Directly managing and developing managers and supervisors, establishing clear expectations, KPIs, and development plans
- Overseeing day-to-day fulfillment center operations, preparing operating reports and providing performance feedback
- Leading cross-functional teams across Receiving, Inventory, Maintenance, QC, Prep, Production, and Shipping to meet operational goals
- Championing continuous improvement initiatives and implementing best practices
- Fostering effective communication and collaboration across departments
- Maintaining SQF system integrity, validating compliance records, and ensuring audit readiness
The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with strong interpersonal communication skills, logical reasoning, and experience balancing hands-on operational leadership with regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, and team development. This role requires managing a large site leadership team while ensuring seamless, safe, and optimized operations across the facility.
