As Senior NPI Supply Chain Engineer for Intelligence Systems (internally titled Senior Product Sourcing Engineer), you will drive strategic supply network development and cost management of Anduril's product hardware across their lifecycles. You will be the end-to-end owner of supply chain for the Intelligence & Space business line, responsible for engineering support, vendor onboarding and development, sourcing, pricing, and negotiating the total Bill of Material (BOM). Key responsibilities include: - Deep dive into engineering BOMs, working closely with engineering teams to ensure parts can be sourced and procured at target cost levels - Conduct supplier selection, leveraging approved supplier lists and onboarding unique vendors to support Space & Intelligence business needs - Drive on-time delivery using innovative solutions to overcome traditional Space industry lead-time constraints - Partner with strategic suppliers on concept scoping, feature trade-offs, should-cost models, joint design development, and design simulations - Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOMs with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to ramp production with high flexibility - Manage total program cost including NPI and mass production throughout the NPI phase - Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility - Complete BOM risk assessments including alternate component sourcing - Ensure all component qualifications are completed ahead of production - Reduce complexity through commonality optimization and component/supplier rationalization - Lead cost engineering activities to converge bottom-up cost curves to product cost targets, maximizing total cost of ownership (TCO) across product lifecycle - Manage ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs, import/export costs, and cost inflation - Manage supply issues as they arise, ensuring on-time delivery at or below target cost Note: This role will be based temporarily at Santa Ana, CA for a 3-month training period before transitioning to Ashville, OH. The role requires 10-40% travel based on program needs and ability to relocate if not already local to Ashville. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical field - 8+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices - Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at component and product level - Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance - Ability to travel 10-40% of the time, variable based on program needs - Ability to relocate if not already local to Ashville, OH PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Master's degree or advanced technical degree - Deeper experience in design and development of electronics and/or mechanical devices - Advanced sourcing activities including commodity/sourcing manager roles - Supplier development experience (technology, process, supply chain) - Early supplier engagement ahead of product/engineering requirement realization - Familiarity with developing high-tech products in high-mix, low-volume environments - Experience in fast-paced, start-up environments - Direct experience in the Space industry - Experience negotiating and managing commercial subcontracts
