Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company building the future of energy-efficient AI compute. As a Senior Network Production Operations Engineer, you will own the design, implementation, and 24/7 operation of Crusoe's global edge, backbone, and data center network infrastructure supporting high-performance GPU compute clusters. You will be a hands-on technical leader responsible for ensuring seamless operation, security, and scalability of mission-critical network systems. Your core responsibilities include monitoring network performance and executing advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production incidents, guiding post-mortem reviews and continuous improvements. You will execute network changes across datacenters, backbone, and edge infrastructure to implement next-generation designs, scale capacity, and improve reliability. You will manage and optimize the entire Crusoe network stack (frontend, backend, backbone, edge, public cloud connectivity), balancing immediate operational needs against long-term strategic goals. You'll lead operational excellence initiatives by developing monitoring, alerting, and observability systems to ensure high network availability. Mentoring junior network engineers and establishing best practices for incident response, documentation, and operational readiness are key aspects of this role. Additionally, you will manage vendor relationships and contracts related to network services and equipment, provide visibility into network health through detailed metrics and performance analysis, and participate in 24/7 on-call support rotation. You bring 10+ years of production network operations experience at scale, with deep expertise in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, EVPN, VXLAN, QoS, MPLS technologies). You have hands-on experience with major network vendors (Mellanox, Cisco, Arista, Juniper) and mainstream chipsets (Broadcom, Barefoot). You understand data center, backbone, and edge network architecture, and have exposure to scripting/coding (Python or similar) for automation. Experience with network observability tools (NSG, Kentik, Grafana, Arbor) and public cloud connectivity (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI) is essential. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience) is required. Familiarity with InfiniBand, RoCE, or Spectrum-X is a plus.
