Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Motion Designer to join its Design Team in Costa Mesa, California. The Design Team is responsible for shaping Anduril's brand identity, visual communication, film, concept art, and industrial design.
In this role, you will develop the kinetic visual language of the Anduril brand by art directing and executing visual concepts across brand and technical narratives using both 2D and 3D elements. You will create visual development of kinetic text, motion graphics, mission scenes, and animations. Key responsibilities include conceptualizing and creating style frames and storyboards, steering the development of visualization techniques and styles, providing constructive feedback during design critiques, and contributing to design inspiration and discussions.
You will evolve and oversee design explorations and style guides while keeping current with industry-standard workflows, processes, and tools. Collaboration is essential—you'll partner with producers, design leads, and departments including marketing and communications.
Required qualifications include a minimum of 5 years of professional motion design experience, a portfolio demonstrating strong familiarity with animation techniques and the ability to transform complex ideas into compelling visual narratives, and a refined stylistic point of view. You must have a deep understanding of design fundamentals (form, color, composition, typography) and technical fluency in both 2D and 3D software. The ideal candidate is an impeccable artist with outstanding knowledge of form and function, passionate about bringing narratives to life and pushing visualization techniques.
This is an on-site position in Costa Mesa, CA. Candidates must be U.S. Persons due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
