JumpCloud is seeking a Senior Mobile Software Engineer with 8–12 years of native mobile development experience to architect and deliver core features for its suite of mobile security applications, including JumpCloud Protect, Mobile Authenticator Factor Application (MAFA), and a converged Password Vault.
In this role, you will architect secure, resilient mobile experiences and implement low-level system integrations across iOS and Android platforms. Key responsibilities include:
**Core Feature Delivery:** Architect, build, and ship high-performance native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) features across mobile authentication, password management, and identity verification applications.
**Security & Auth Infrastructure:** Implement critical mobile security mechanisms, including Credential Provider / Autofill framework integrations, biometric authentication (FaceID/TouchID/BiometricPrompt), hardware-backed secure storage (Keychain, Keystore, Secure Enclave), and OIDC/OAuth2 authentication flows.
**Release Hygiene & Quality Ownership:** Drive release pipelines for the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Maintain strict UI testing coverage targets using XCTest and Espresso, while establishing mobile E2E integration test suites with core platform APIs.
**Problem Solving & Troubleshooting:** Active participation in incident management, contributing post-incident reviews, and taking ownership for rapid resolution.
**AI Adoption & Technical Leadership:** Champion the BMAD framework to establish governance for AI-assisted workflows (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot). Mentor engineers, conduct RFC reviews, and build shared team skill libraries.
JumpCloud is an AI-powered unified IT management platform designed to secure the modern workforce by consolidating identity, device, and access management. The company operates as a remote-first organization with teams across 15+ countries. There is an expectation that engineers participate in on-call shifts.
**Requirements:**
- 8–12 years of professional software development experience focused primarily on native mobile app delivery
- Expert-level proficiency in Swift or Kotlin, with strong working knowledge or willingness to work across both platforms
- Deep understanding of App Transport Security (ATS), network security configuration, certificate pinning trade-offs, jailbreak/root detection, and cryptography best practices
- Hands-on experience writing unit, UI, and integration tests using XCTest, Espresso, or modern E2E automation tools
- Experience setting up mobile Continuous Integration pipelines (e.g., Bitrise, Fastlane, GitHub Actions) and leveraging crash reporting platforms (Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry)
- Proven track record integrating RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and OIDC client libraries into reactive mobile architectures
- Prior experience developing enterprise security, Password Vault, or Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) applications
- Production experience with native desktop extensions or cross-platform security modules
- Fluent English (required for interviews and internal business communication)
- Must be located in and authorized to work in India
**Nice to Have:**
- Experience with AWS & GCP cloud services
- Backend development experience using Golang or equivalent languages
