Precision AQ is a leading payer marketing agency supporting global pharmaceutical and life sciences clients in achieving commercial excellence. The Senior Medical Writer develops and writes high-quality, medically accurate content for assigned accounts, working cross-functionally with internal teams and pharmaceutical clients.
Key responsibilities include serving as the primary content point person on assigned accounts; developing content for value proposition decks, advisory boards, and internal training resources; conducting literature reviews and developing annotations to support promotional claims; and ensuring all work meets scientific standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves collaborating with account teams to refine content aligned with strategic imperatives, participating in medical, legal, and regulatory review meetings, and attending internal team meetings including project kick-offs, status updates, and brainstorming sessions.
The Senior Medical Writer will mentor junior-level staff, contribute ideas for new business proposals and tactical planning, and occasionally travel for client meetings. This position requires strong written and verbal communication, high analytical ability, and the capacity to prioritize multiple deadline-sensitive projects while managing competing client priorities.
Required qualifications include a BA/BS in life sciences or English (with pharmaceutical/healthcare agency experience), minimum 3 years in medical communications, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries, command of AMA style, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. Preferred qualifications include expertise in healthcare business and scientific literature evaluation, knowledge of managed markets and healthcare delivery systems, and ability to develop engaging promotional content.
