CytoVale is a medical diagnostics company specializing in sepsis detection. The IntelliSep test is a stand-alone sepsis detection assay that analyzes white blood cell structure to stratify patient risk, delivering results in under 10 minutes from a standard blood draw.
As Senior Medical Science Liaison, you will execute field Medical Affairs strategy, drive clinical practice transformation, and foster scientific exchange with healthcare providers. You will develop relationships with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, hospital leaders, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) through scientific education and evidence-based discussions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving clinical practice transformation in IntelliSep customer accounts by collaborating with clinical teams on scientific inquiries and facilitating multidisciplinary discussions
- Observing hospital workflows, practices, and infrastructure to identify opportunities for enhanced patient care
- Conducting comprehensive medical education and training programs for healthcare professionals via on-site and virtual engagement
- Supporting development and adoption of diagnostic protocols and ordering pathways through scientific discussion and real-world data presentation
- Building clinical credibility through subject matter expertise and evidence-based discussions
- Leading scientific discussions with HCPs and answering medical inquiries about Cytovale products
- Building and maintaining professional relationships with HCPs, thought leaders, medical groups, academic institutions, and professional societies
- Supporting KOL engagement through advisory boards, educational symposia, and investigator meetings
- Attending national and regional medical meetings as a Cytovale representative
- Monitoring and reporting competitive insights and scientific trends
- Serving as internal clinical and medical subject matter expert, partnering with Marketing, Product Development, and Operations teams
- Collaborating on development of internal educational materials and external medical/scientific communications
- Identifying clinical evidence gaps and collaborating to generate supporting evidence
- Representing Cytovale with scientific and medical integrity, operating with superior ethics per company policies and regulatory guidelines
- Traveling up to 70% as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific or clinical discipline; advanced clinical degree (PharmD, PA-C, DNP, MD) preferred
- Minimum 7+ years combined clinical and industry experience in patient-facing acute care, critical care, or emergency medicine settings
- Prior MSL experience in diagnostic/medical device industry preferred
- Proven track record of effective scientific communication with diverse audiences, including presentation and translation of complex clinical information
- Experience providing education, training, and collaborating with multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Ability to digest and interpret clinical data and medical literature
- Ability to travel up to 70%
- Familiarity with medical device regulations and compliant HCP interactions
- Strong personal integrity, professional demeanor, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication and public speaking skills
- Proactive mindset with drive to deliver projects with excellence and within timelines
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects across multiple clients and stakeholders

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Salesforce, and meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams)
