CytoVale is a medical diagnostics company developing the IntelliSep test, a sepsis detection assay that analyzes white blood cell structure to stratify patient risk. The test delivers results in under 10 minutes from a standard blood draw.
As a Senior Medical Science Liaison, you will execute field Medical Affairs strategy, drive clinical practice transformation, and foster scientific exchange with healthcare providers. You will be field-based with an ideal location in the Central or Western United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive clinical practice transformation in IntelliSep customer accounts by collaborating with clinical teams to address scientific inquiries and facilitate multidisciplinary discussions
- Observe target hospital workflows, practices, and infrastructure to identify opportunities for enhanced patient care
- Conduct comprehensive medical education and training programs for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and hospital leaders through on-site and virtual engagement
- Support development and adoption of diagnostic protocols and ordering pathways using real-world data and clinical evidence
- Build clinical credibility and peer relationships by demonstrating subject matter expertise and deep understanding of the evidence base
- Lead scientific discussions with healthcare professionals and answer medical inquiries about CytoVale products
- Build and maintain professional relationships with thought leaders, medical groups, academic institutions, and professional societies
- Support KOL engagement through advisory boards, educational symposia, and investigator meetings
- Attend national and regional medical meetings as a CytoVale representative
- Monitor and report competitive insights and scientific trends
- Partner with internal teams (Marketing, Product Development, Operations) to share HCP feedback and support continuous improvement
- Collaborate with Marketing and Commercial teams on educational materials and medical/scientific communications
- Identify clinical evidence gaps and collaborate on evidence generation to support clinical and economic value
- Represent CytoVale with scientific and medical integrity, operating with superior ethics per company policies and regulatory guidelines
- Travel as required to visit customers, attend events, and conduct training
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or clinical discipline; advanced clinical degree (PharmD, PA-C, DNP, MD) preferred
- Minimum 7+ years of combined clinical and industry experience in patient-facing acute care, critical care, or emergency medicine settings
- Prior MSL experience within the diagnostic/medical device industry preferred
- Proven track record of effective scientific communication with diverse audiences and ability to translate complex clinical information
- Experience providing education, training, and collaborating with multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Ability to digest and interpret clinical data and medical literature
- Ability to travel up to 70%
- Familiarity with medical device regulations and compliant HCP interactions
- Strong personal integrity, professional demeanor, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication and public speaking skills
- Proactive mindset with drive to deliver projects with excellence and within timelines
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects across multiple clients and stakeholders

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Salesforce, and meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams)
