The Senior Media Planner (SMP) is a strategic and operational role responsible for providing media thought leadership and guidance to clients, internal teams, and vendors. The SMP manages the complete lifecycle of paid media campaigns—from planning and buying through analysis, testing, and optimization—across digital and traditional channels for pharmaceutical clients.
Key responsibilities include:
**Media Buying & Campaign Activation:** Serve as the primary point of contact for media vendors, managing trafficking requests, creative delivery, and troubleshooting. **Team & Client Collaboration:** Mentor junior planners and foster their professional growth. Develop Media POVs for client requests. Participate in internal and external meetings. Demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Multitask and pivot in a fast-paced environment.
The role requires thriving in a dynamic environment where new clients are onboarded, protocols are adjusted, and media plans pivot regularly. The SMP must be proactive in monitoring advertising and media trends and their impact on the agency and clients.
