Archer Technologies is an aerospace and defense company building next-generation aircraft and technology, including Midnight (all-electric air taxi), Halo (autonomous VTOL for commercial and defense), and ZEE (AI foundation model for aviation). The company combines software intelligence with physical hardware across air taxis, UAS, AI, and powertrain development. As Senior Materials Planner / Buyer, you will own end-to-end material readiness for new product and equipment builds. Your core responsibilities include translating build schedules, BOMs, inventory, open orders, and lead times into time-phased material requirements. You'll execute material planning and purchasing with suppliers, managing demand alignment, supplier commits, shortage resolution, and inventory visibility to ensure build readiness. You will own the complete purchase order lifecycle—creation, confirmation, delivery, receipt, and issue resolution. A key deliverable is the clear-to-build report, reconciling BOM, inventory, open orders, and engineering change orders. You'll proactively identify and resolve shortages and late deliveries before they impact build schedules, and manage supplier relationships to drive on-time delivery. The role requires working effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and incomplete information. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with Sourcing, Engineering, Quality, and Program Management to align on procurement program needs, and support continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems. Required: Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in procurement, buying, or supply chain roles. Experience as a Supply Chain Manager or Procurement Manager supporting contract manufacturers is strongly preferred. You should be comfortable with program/project management principles and operating with ambiguity. Bonus qualifications include APICS/ASCM certification and SAP experience for complex product manufacturing.
