CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Material Planner to join its growing operations team in Austin, TX. The company develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms.
In this role, you will serve as a key operations leader responsible for material planning and supply chain optimization in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment. You will work collaboratively with Engineering and Manufacturing teams on a daily basis to create comprehensive material plans, identify supply chain improvements, and solve complex production challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining material plans that support new product development and manufacturing operations
- Providing direction and guidance in a highly dynamic production environment
- Collaborating cross-functionally with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure continuous, efficient production
- Balancing production floor interaction with analytical desk work
- Identifying and implementing supply chain improvements
- Problem-solving in a startup environment with evolving processes and requirements
The ideal candidate brings senior-level experience in material planning, supply chain management, or operations within a manufacturing or hardware environment. You should be comfortable working hands-on in production settings while also managing data and planning systems. A flexible, collaborative mindset and willingness to support cross-functional initiatives are essential.
