1stDibs is a global online marketplace connecting design enthusiasts to over one million extraordinary pieces—furniture, fine art, jewelry, and fashion. As Senior Marketing Designer, you'll be a visual storyteller at the intersection of brand marketing, editorial content, social media, and digital product experience.
You will lead multi-disciplinary creative projects from concept through execution, creating high-impact visual touchpoints that elevate brand authority and drive business objectives. Your work will span narrative-driven editorial experiences, social content, email campaigns, and content-rich site pages showcasing the platform's inventory and seller community.
Key responsibilities include owning end-to-end design for marketing campaigns, paid media, promotional initiatives, motion/video assets, and occasional print collateral (catalogs, direct mail, event materials). You'll collaborate closely with Product and Marketing teams to contribute to digital site design initiatives, ensuring seamless, on-brand journeys from campaign touchpoint to platform. You'll partner across Editorial, Merchandising, Product, and Growth teams, advocating for design rationale that supports business goals.
You'll elevate team standards through constructive feedback, system-level thinking, and thoughtful application of design best practices. The role requires 4+ years of visual design experience in an in-house brand/product team or agency environment, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in brand, marketing creative, and digital site design.
You must be highly proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud, with familiarity with emerging AI tools/workflows. You'll need a strategic, autonomous mindset—able to drive projects independently, articulate design reasoning to stakeholders, and translate complex brand narratives into elegant visual solutions. A collaborative spirit and genuine desire to succeed together across functions is essential.
Nice-to-haves include prior e-commerce marketplace experience in luxury, fine art, or high-end design sectors, plus hands-on experience with video editing and motion graphics/animation.
