Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer to join the Launched Effects team, responsible for scaling manufacturing and delivery of the Altius family of autonomous aerial systems (Altius-600, Altius-700). These tube-launched platforms are redefining modern warfare for the U.S. military and allies, requiring precision manufacturing of advanced composites, complex avionics, and modular payload integrations for ISR, Electronic Warfare, and kinetic strike capabilities. In this role, you will own test activities across the manufacturing value stream, from system-level checkouts and acceptance testing to component-level in-process validation. You'll maintain and improve test capabilities, ensuring stringent quality standards while meeting production throughput requirements. Key responsibilities include: • Maintain ownership of test flow in production, providing hands-on troubleshooting and resolving complex electrical issues • Improve and sustain existing test systems to enhance automation, consistency, cycle time, and test coverage • Develop and maintain test work instructions for technician teams; train on equipment use • Create a library of common failure modes with troubleshooting guides for rapid issue resolution • Perform root cause and corrective action analysis (RCCA) on product failures • Collaborate with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering teams on customer returns and failure analysis • Analyze test data, document results, and provide detailed reports identifying defects and improvement areas • Optimize test strategies for efficiency without compromising quality; reduce test time • Maintain and calibrate test equipment for precision and reliability • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and methodologies You'll work on a fast-moving, mission-driven team that refuses to accept traditional, slow defense manufacturing timelines. Your decisions directly impact global security and military capability deployment. Note: This position requires temporary relocation for a 3-month comprehensive training program: 1 month in Santa Ana, CA, followed by 2 months in Atlanta, GA. Anduril fully covers corporate housing, transportation, and travel accommodations during training.
