Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 / annual

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join its Quality Engineering team in the Boston area (currently Lexington, MA, relocating to Waltham, MA). This role is critical to ensuring the highest standards of quality across manufacturing processes and products for advanced defense systems powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system. You will drive improvements in product design, manufacturing, supplier operations, and field support to enhance reliability across the product lifecycle. Key responsibilities include: • Ensure compliance with AS9100 certification and drive Quality Management System sustainability • Develop and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) for product quality across the organization • Implement data-driven approaches to evaluate, prioritize, and track product quality and reliability from suppliers, manufacturing, and field operations • Lead investigations, initiatives, and projects to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventative actions both internally and with suppliers • Support supplier incoming inspection and incoming inspection programs for raw materials • Conduct containment, audit, and disposition actions for quality escapes or defective material • Work cross-functionally with production teams to define and execute product roadmaps, ensuring incoming material inspection, process control plans, and end-of-line tests capture essential quality requirements • Support MRB (Material Review Board) activities and supplier evaluation, selection, qualification, and performance monitoring Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar technical field, 5+ years of experience with OEM suppliers and manufacturing operations building complex hardware/software systems, and 5+ years in engineering, manufacturing, or quality within aerospace/defense, automotive, or medical device fields. You must have hands-on experience in ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 regulated environments, proficiency with quality core tools (FMEA, RCCA/8D, APQP, PPAP, GD&T), hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical metrology tools, and knowledge of electro-mechanical design and manufacturing processes. A strong project management mindset and eligibility to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance are required. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in a technical field, experience as a lead auditor for AS9100 or similar QMS standards, experience with Integrated Dewar Cooler Assemblies (IDCAs) and/or Infrared (IR) Cameras, and experience with high-mix low-volume manufacturing.
