Relay Therapeutics, a clinical-stage precision medicines company, is seeking a Senior Manager/Associate Director of Portfolio and Strategy Operations to drive operational excellence for a first-in-class program moving through clinical development. Reporting to the Director of Portfolio Strategy and Operations, you will serve as a critical bridge across Medical, Clinical Operations, Pharmaceutical Development, and executive leadership.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining comprehensive program timelines that identify interdependencies, risks, and critical path activities. You will bring structure to complex, ambiguous problems—synthesizing findings, developing creative options, and making logically supported recommendations. This may involve defining molecular diagnostics strategies, monitoring drug supply and patient demand dynamics, or refining processes to support key deliverables.
You will facilitate cross-functional collaboration in a matrixed environment, driving alignment toward shared goals and program progression. Your communication skills will be essential: you'll craft compelling narratives, develop visuals, and refine messaging for executive leadership and board presentations. You'll also own the project's long-range strategic plan in close collaboration with your team.
The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of experience in management consulting, operations, program management, or executive communication, ideally with a science or consulting background. You are an open, candid communicator with strong emotional intelligence, organizational savviness, and a collaborative nature. You thrive in ambiguity, see problems as opportunities, and excel at building alignment across teams and organizations.
