Preply is a unicorn edtech platform (Series D, $150M) that connects 100,000+ tutors teaching 90+ languages to learners across 180 countries. You'll join as Senior Manager, Tutor Brand, reporting to the Sr Director Brand Strategy. This is a strategic, expert-track leadership role focused on long-term brand building within the global tutor community—not acquisition or performance marketing. You'll own the brand narrative that shapes how tutors perceive Preply, positioning it as a long-term partner in their professional growth rather than just a platform. Key responsibilities: • Define and evolve the tutor brand narrative and value proposition across different tutor personas and career stages, ensuring consistency between promise and experience. • Develop scalable educational and thought leadership initiatives that elevate tutors professionally and position Preply as a leader in online education—including content channels, expert series, video programs, and learning formats. • Own budget and vendor relationships for tutor-facing content, including agencies and tutor ambassadors. • Lead strategic storytelling around AI's role in teaching, translating Preply's human-led, AI-enhanced vision into content that builds tutor confidence rather than anxiety. • Define success metrics for tutor brand impact: trust/NPS, retention among top-tier tutors, thought-leadership reach and engagement. • Partner directly with Supply, Tutor Success, and cross-functional teams on major narrative moments and strategic bets. You'll drive brand impact at scale through influence and strategic thinking rather than headcount, comfortable owning outcomes without a direct-report team. This role sits at the intersection of brand, supply marketing, and long-term reputation building. Required: 10+ years in brand communications, partner marketing, or similar in fast-paced tech environments. Strong strategic storytelling and positioning skills, experience building long-term brand initiatives (not campaigns), deep community-building expertise, and excellent written/verbal communication. Working understanding of LLMs and generative AI as both optimization and scaling tools for content production.
