Rothy's is seeking a Senior Manager of Talent Management to lead the company's talent development strategy while overseeing engagement and performance management processes. This high-impact role sits within the People team and requires someone who can design and implement programs from the ground up, translating strategy into initiatives that drive employee growth, performance, and retention across a diverse workforce spanning retail stores, corporate headquarters, and a wholly-owned factory. Key responsibilities include owning Rothy's talent development strategy aligned with business goals across all employee levels; designing and delivering learning and development programs for retail staff through senior leadership; determining when to curate external content versus build original programs; and facilitating training sessions and leadership development directly. You'll manage the full performance management cycle—design, tools, implementation, manager enablement, and continuous improvement—partnering with People Business Partners to ensure fairness and consistency. The role also owns the employee engagement strategy, including survey design, results analysis, and action planning with business leaders to identify trends and recommend retention interventions. Cross-functional collaboration is essential: you'll partner closely with colleagues across the People team (Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, People Ops) and build strong relationships with business leaders to understand needs and tailor solutions. You'll manage external vendor and consultant relationships and leverage technology—including AI tools—to design, scale, and improve talent programs and content quality. Ideal candidates bring proven experience leading talent development, performance management, and/or employee engagement functions in organizations with diverse workforces (corporate and frontline/retail populations). You're a self-starter with strong strategic thinking paired with execution bias, comfortable moving from concept to rollout. You can navigate ambiguity, build structure where none exists, and create content and programs for widely varying audiences. You have experience both curating third-party content and designing original programs, excellent facilitation and communication skills, and comfort with technology including AI tools.
