Sila Nanotechnologies is a next-generation battery materials company on a mission to power the world's transition to clean energy. The company engineers and manufactures breakthrough battery materials that significantly increase energy density while reducing size and weight, enabling smaller, more powerful batteries for consumer devices and electric vehicles.
The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition will lead all aspects of recruitment at Sila, overseeing talent acquisition strategy, workforce planning, and recruiting priorities aligned with business objectives. This is a "player coach" role responsible for sourcing, hiring, and team leadership across various business units.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of talent acquisition professionals, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture
- Deliver against hiring targets and build scalable recruiting processes with consistent execution
- Partner with hiring managers to understand talent needs, create effective job descriptions, and provide interview training
- Advise leaders on talent market trends, workforce risks, and recruiting effectiveness
- Raise hiring standards through intake discipline, structured interviews, and talent market insights
- Design and continuously improve recruiting policies, processes, and governance for compliance and candidate experience
- Develop the long-term talent acquisition roadmap to support operational and growth objectives
- Develop employer branding and sourcing strategies to attract diverse talent pipelines
- Leverage data and analytics to optimize recruiting performance and influence workforce decisions
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives on recruiting speed, scalability, and operational efficiency
- Drive AI and automation adoption across the recruiting lifecycle
- Partner with HRBPs and FP&A on headcount planning and management
- Manage recruiting training programs to ensure appropriate preparation for all hiring participants
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of talent acquisition experience with 5 years leading high-performing teams
- Start-up experience preferred
- Thorough understanding of recruiting methods, best practices, and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws
- Excellent problem-solving and solution-creation skills in fast-paced startup environments
- Understanding of manufacturing, R&D, and technology roles preferred
- Experience scaling high-growth organizations through continuous improvement and talent development
- Greenhouse ATS experience preferred
