Brex is a fintech platform enabling companies to spend smarter through corporate cards, banking, and spend management software. As Senior Manager of Supplier Enablement & Spend Conversion, you will build a new function from the ground up to migrate enterprise vendor spend from ACH/check onto Brex's card platform—a significant greenfield opportunity representing tens of billions in untapped spend.
You will own the end-to-end vendor spend migration motion, from vendor-file analysis and card-acceptance identification through negotiation and activation. This includes defining strategy, entry criteria, engagement models, and KPIs; designing a differentiated, AI-native approach rather than replicating legacy manual playbooks; and partnering cross-functionally with product, implementation, business development, and sales.
Key responsibilities include: building the function from scratch with clear processes and operating cadences; advising enterprise customers directly to unlock spend with strategic vendors; designing operational rigor (tracking, reporting, incentive structures) for scalability; envisioning a holistic approach involving Capital One and third-party vendors; and hiring and coaching a team as the function scales. You will operate as a player-coach early on, directly engaging with customers while establishing the infrastructure for growth.
This is a high-visibility role at the intersection of product, implementation, BD, and sales. You'll champion spend conversion internally, educate stakeholders, and shape how Brex captures share-of-wallet. The role requires 5+ years in B2B/commercial card, payments, supplier enablement, or vendor/payment operations; demonstrated experience building functions or programs from 0-to-1; and working knowledge of card acceptance, merchant economics, and buyer/supplier trade-offs.
Based in Seattle with hybrid flexibility (minimum 3 days/week in office: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday), plus up to 4 weeks/year fully remote.
